International Archives Day 2020

This year, the very different circumstances created by the COVID-19 pandemic did not allow the General State Archives (GSA), nor any archival institution worldwide, to carry out their planned activities.
Due to this inability to organize events, the International Council on Archives (ICA), in the framework of the celebration of the International Archives Week #IAW2020, titled: “Empowering Knowledge Societies”, presented a series of webinars scheduled to take place during the week of 8–14 June 2020.
All of us at the GSA continue with optimism and the same enthusiasm for new collaborations and initiatives, working towards highlighting the importance of proper records management as well as promoting the cultural heritage we are entrusted to preserve.
For the time being, through a
brief presentation,
you can learn about the events that have taken place at the GSA since 2012 as part of the celebration of the International Archives Day.
We hope that in 2021 we will have the opportunity to implement our activities and give the public the chance to reconnect with the archives once again.
