International Archives Day 2023

On the occasion of the celebration of International Archives Day and the
100th anniversary of the signing of the Greek–Turkish Convention on the
Exchange of Populations, the General State Archives (GSA) prepared a digital
exhibition (padlet) entitled

“Refugees of 1922: Records from the archives and collections of the Central
Service of the General State Archives”
.

The digital exhibition included 80 records organized into the following seven thematic sections:

1. The Greek population of Asia Minor before 1922
2. The Asia Minor Campaign
3. The Exchange of Populations
4. Relief for the refugees
5. The rural settlement of refugees
6. The urban settlement of refugees
7. The collective and association-based organization of refugees
